Beyonce’s First Public Statement

Queen B was pregnant, so it is normal she disappears for a while to rest and put those little babies in this world. Now the world still waits for her first words on the subject with enticed breath. We just already know there’s going to be a photoshoot. And it will be like gawking upon heaven.

Though, Beyoncé has finally broken her silence, but not to address the birth. In its place, she sent a speech to this year’s BET Awards to be read for her Viewers’ Choice Award for the Lemonade track ‘Sorry’, accepted on her behalf by Chloe x Halle.

“Thank you, BET, for this award and your tremendous support of Lemonade,” Beyoncé said in the statement. “This has been a journey of love, of celebrating our culture, honouring the past, and approaching the present and future with hope and resolve.”

“Thank you to my mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, for being my biggest, biggest teacher and consistent influence. Thank you to my entire family for so much love. To my team at Parkwood, thank you.”

“And thanks to all the fans, my Beyhive, for riding with me. I love and appreciate you. And to everyone at the show tonight, you all look so beautiful. And at home, thank you, and have a wonderful, wonderful night. From, Beyoncé.”

People magazine was the first breaking the news, and according to the publication, Blue Ivy now has a brother and a sister, while also announcing the birth happened two weeks ago.
