Google has changed the idea of launching a new Pixel. In the past, it was believed that a device code-named Muskie would succeed the Pixel XL. Though, now a new model with an even bigger screen code-named Taimen is expected to replace the XL version.
Muskie and Walleye had a smaller size than Taimen, so maybe we can suggest that the Pixel would be the Taimen model. The reason behind Google’s conclusion to abandon Muskie is still unidentified. There are good chances that it will release two as an alternative of three Pixel devices (Walleye and Taimen).
“We rate this information 9 out of 10 on our rumor confidence scale and confirmed we have corroborated this story with several sources we deem reliable,” Android Police said.
Other news related with Google: the group has hired an expert from Apple, the chip architect Manu Gulati. Gulati newly updated his job profile on LinkedIn, listing his new company as Google and his title as Lead SOC architect, beginning in May.
The industry of chips is on a crazy buzz right now and if Google has decided to build its own chips, it will surely be a big misfortune to Qualcomm.
